In the song Moonlight Bay, released in 1951, Bing introduces his son Gary as having been "flown in at great expense from Sedlmayer's Milk Bar".

A Sedlmayer's regular from that era informed us that the milk bar part was a comedic reference to the fact that Ed Sedlmayer kept the milk cool on ice under the bar with the beers.
